The Culture

You’re not limited here and you won’t be stuck working on one type of asset class (e.g. office, residential). At Canada ICI, you’ll gain constant exposure to a high-volume of deals. As you work on them within the context of a team, you’ll be learning quickly, getting tons of experience working on different deal types across various markets. That’s how you become an (almost instant) expert. In traditional firms, one person writes the fourth office lease deal after doing three. Sure, that person is a master at one thing. Because they keep doing it again and again, they could do it in their sleep. Which is not good because that’s how they end up: working asleep. At CICI, you’ll be wide awake and kept on your toes by the opportunity to work on a wide spectrum of deals. Never a dull moment around here.

Interview Us
At Canada ICI, the hiring process is a two-way street. We want to be sure your values align with ours and we want you to do the same thing. We’ll meet with you and then encourage you to do coffee with our team members, so that you can get a feel for one another in a relaxed, informal setting.

Aspiring originators are provided with a foundation of all the necessary tools such as technology, admin support, and caring leadership. We describe the culture in our origination department as dynamic and forward-thinking. Our originators are progressive, entrepreneurial problem solvers.


New underwriters work in a fast-paced environment where they’re exposed to every asset class in the marketplace. We don’t shelter our underwriters but instead give them a broad range of experiences working on deals from every aspect.

Asset Management

The culture in Canada ICI’s Asset Management Group is growing and defining itself. Our Asset Management Group applies a disciplined, structured, methodical, and meticulous approach to loan management.

Executive and Leadership
